I did a quick yoga/med session just a short while ago, because I wanted to do it real quick before my boyfriend came home. I plan to do a painting & possibly a poem tonite, and I know that they’ll take some time, so I decided to do my session a little earlier than usual. It was also a somewhat shortened version- fewer breaths during asanas, causing a 5 minute session instead of my usual 10-15 minutes; and about 7 minutes of meditation.

When I’d set my media player to play the songs I wanted during meditation (Symphony 9 by Beethoven and Cafe Del Mar by Paul Oakenfold), the abstract image froze on the outline of a bull skull-like image (with much shorter horns than the provided picture):

My meditation itself was mainly different images of fairies, most in a contemplating stature, and the one that stuck out had electric blue hair. I also had the image of a black circle surrounded by electric blue/white light (perhaps representing the lunar eclipse?) And on last thought I’d had was of my boyfriend & I eating dinner together at the dining room table.

So, the faerie & moon images will be incorporated into my painting tonight. And, I’ve kind of come to associate faeries with muses. So, the basic plan of the painting will be of 3 moon-ish images: one of the shrouded image I’d had in my meditation, one of the sun & moon directly next to one another, and one of a red moon; as well as a small fairy with electric blue hair drawn in the corner.

"Take day long holidays, let the children play"

I had an pretty decent meditation today. I listened to "Riders on the Storm" again, this time with the cats locked out of the room. I did this thing where I focused on all of the sounds in the room and then focused on each one specifically (the ice melting/sleet outside, the hum & occasional drip of the fountain, the hum of Nick’s computer, and the song playing on mine), and then tried to push all of those thoughts out of my awareness. I kept getting images of different people in my head, though, and I have no clue who these people are or where I may have seen them. But I just went with it. First, my mind went blank & I could see a grey screen like on a tv. Then I saw a teenage boy as he was sitting down on a couch/chair, looking up at someone; the scenery kind of looked like my living room, looking at the view from the closest french door. Then I saw a woman with her dark hair flowing, a black transvestite, a carnie, a wizard, a cartoon wizard… Then, Ollie was trying to get in the room, so I could see him in the doorway with the door open & the light on in the kitchen. It looked like one of those tv memories, where the light was glowing & such. And then I saw Chloe in the same scenario. Then, 4 different things made noise (a paper fell, Nick’s computer made a noise, his phone vibrated, etc), and I lost my concentration & decided to stop. The song had just ended anyways. So, it lasted a good 7 minutes.

Before all this, I did my usual yoga. When I closed my eyes at the beginning of the session, I saw a cobra with its fangs exposed. Just like the picture provided, but real (hehe)…

Unfortunately I’m still having a difficult time focusing during meditation. I’ve been trying listening to music the past couple of days, just cuz I know it’ll be easier for me to ease back into the rhythm this way. Today, I mainly listened to "Riders on the Storm" by The Doors. It’s almost 8am - I think the daylight coming in the window made my efforts a little more difficult. I really wanted to meditate earlier, but I didn’t really have time to before Nick came home, and then he spent most of his time online in the vicinity of my meditation spot. Perhaps ‘tomorrow’ I’ll take care of this earlier in the day (before he gets home), so that it’s guaranteed to be an uninterrupted part of my day. And my yoga too (which I haven’t practiced in a few days emoticon)

So, the only really prominent thing during this short session was…every time I cleared my mind of the thoughts & images that would pop up,  I think of it like brushing the snow off a car (one quick swipe)… And, every time I cleared my mind, the image of a Siberian Husky’s face would show up for a couple seconds. So, I figured this meant something, and decided to try & interact with the animal to see if it had any information to share with me. Nothing, really. I just kept seeing him rolling over for me to pet him. Which I did. I also gave it a hug & it licked my face, and told it we would talk more at another time…

Actually, now looking at pictures…I’m not sure if it’s a husky or a wolf. :/ We’ll just have to wait til next time he shows up, and we’ll see.
